Grants

Grants are an important source of income for the Toy Library. They help to cover our annual costs such as Insurance, Rent of our space at the Newlands Community Centre, buying new toys and to pay some of our Librarian wages.

We appreciate all the support we get. Here are some examples of what we have received for the past three years:

  • In 2019 we received $925 from the Lotteries Grants Board which we used to cover our insurance and some of our yearly rent costs at the Newlands Community Centre
  • In 2018 we received $925 from the Lotteries Grants Board which we used to cover our insurance and some of our yearly rent costs at the Newlands Community Centre
  • In 2018 we received $3,888 from Johnsonville Charitable Trust which was put towards our Librarians wages
  • In 2017 we received $925 from the Lotteries Grants Board which we used to cover some of our yearly rent costs at the Newlands Community Centre
  • In 2017 we received $500 from Fonterra towards the purchase of farm related toys
  • In 2017 we received $292.50 from the Thomas MacCarthy George Trust. We used $187.50 to cover our yearly subscription to the Toy Library Federation of New Zealand and the remaining $105 towards purchasing a new supersized slide
